She was predeceased by: her parents, John Rufus and Kate Sowers of Riner, Virginia.; her husband Joseph A. Murphy; and her siblings, Omly Burke, Roy Burke, Kellie Hepner and Ellie Burke.
She is survived by: her son David; her daughter-in-law Toni Murphy of Claudevlle, Virginia; and her granddaughters, Kendall Murphy of London, England and Amber Murphy of Stanford, Kentucky. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice Services in her memory.
