He was predeceased by: his father James Jones; and his wife Deloris "Darlene" Jones. He is survived by: his son Darrell Jones (Shelby) of Shawsville; his stepson Michael Wheeling (Christiansburg); his granddaughter Mattie Wheeling of Christiansburg; and his siblings, James Jones (Elva) of Riner and Barbara Atkinson (Wesley) of Christiansburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
