She is survived by: her daughters, Michelle Byrd (Robert Thornes, Jr.) of Onancock, VA and Chrissy Ritsema (Derek); her sisters, Carole DeAndrea of Germansville, PA and Kimberly Collins of Oak Hall, VA; and her grandchildren, Jacob Thornes and Hannah Byrd.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SPCA Eastern Shore, Inc., P.O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
