With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hallie Sue Francis (Chincoteague, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 9, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Hallie Sue Francis to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cliff Lewis and Maude Lewis (Timmons); her former husband Marvin J. Francis; her husband Alfred Lionel Hopkins; her son Terry Francis; and her siblings, Nettie Dennis, Gloria Jester, Shirley Taylor, Eula Bell, Claude Lewis and Edward Lewis Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Watson (John Watson), Robin McColligan, Larry Francis and Mary Ann Parks (Jerry Taylor); and her grandchildren, Shannon Schmitt, Terri Lynn Francis, Sandy Francis and William Parks (Emily Parks). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Salyer Funeral Home (6327 Church St, Chincoteague, VA 23336).
