We are sad to announce that on December 30, 2022, at the age of 88, Joyce M. Wessells of Chincoteague Island, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Margaret Hancock Layton and Wilford Layton; her brothers, Raymond Layton, Wilford Layton, Jr. and Stanley Layton; her husband Donald Edwin Wessells; her daughter Deborah (Debbie); her son-in-law Jefferson Stevens (Jeff); her grandchildren, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Donnie and James; and her great grandchildren, Annie, Gene, Jeffrey Jr., Christian, Bronson, Kaelin, Daniel, Destin, Trinity, Jaedin, Kimber, Mikaela, James Robert and Thomas Jefferson (T. J.).
