With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnne Walker Lewis of Chincoteague Island, Virginia, born in Nassawadox, Virginia, who passed away on June 6, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Harry Wilson Walker; her husband Edward Lewis Sr.; her daughter Vicki L. Birch; her brother James McConnell; her aunts, Maryann Hart and Betty Matthews; her grandson Chance Holston; and her cousin Jimmy Walker.
She is survived by: her sons, Edward Lewis Jr. (Sharon), Kenneth Lewis (Birdie) and David Lewis (Angie) of Chincoteague Island, VA; her sister Diana Lindsay (Jack) of Waverly, GA; and her grandchildren, Bryan (Jessica), Kristyanne (Jeremy), Kayze (William), Nikki, Heather, Chuck (Debra) and Beth (George). She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
