He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Bowles and Jean Felty Bowles of Roanoke, Virginia.; and his siblings, Rebecca Layman and Dale Bowles of Roanoke, Virginia.. He is survived by: his wife La Raine L. Bowles; his children, Jonathan Bowles of Chesapeake and Laura Hackney of New Port News; his stepdaughter Crystal Fisher of Chincoteague Island; and his pet Jessie James. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
