We are sad to announce that on March 8, 2023, at the age of 77, Frances Knight Gillespie of Chincoteague Island, Virginia, born in Norfolk, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Knight and Marie Lee Taylor (Lee). She is survived by: her husband William T. Gillespie of Chincoteague Island, VA; her children, Denise Hopkins (Sherrill Hopkins) of Pocomoke, Cheryl Chesser of Salisbury and Chad Chesser (Louise) of Chincoteague; her grandchildren, Nicholas Hopkins of Ocean City, Andrew Hopkins of Fruitland, Laura Hopkins of Pocomoke, Kristin, Kelsey Chesser of Salisbury, Cole Chesser of Atlantic and Nina Butler of Jacksonville; her great grandchild Kamarie Butler; and her sisters, Kathryn Knight Taylor of Bloxom and Carolyn Knight Smith of Jacksonville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
