She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Hopkins and Arthur Hopkins; her sister Jean; and her husband Calvin Barrett. She is survived by: her son Bill Barrett (Pam) of Chincoteague, VA; her granddaughters, Julie Green (James), Rachel Trayer (Kyle Trayer), Kara Hess (Eric) and Angela Hess (Ethan Hess); her sister-in-law Connie Kay White of Chincoteague Island, VA; and her great grandchildren, Shannon, Liana, Eli, Logan Green, Liam, Isobel Trayer, Charlie Hess, Elouisa and Judah Hess. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Union Baptist Church (6365 Church St, Chincoteague, VA 23336). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
