It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ulus Walter Massie Jr. of Chilhowie, Virginia, who passed away on January 11, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Louise Bandy; his parents, Ulus, Sr. Massie and Ethel Massie; his sister Anne Ramsey; and his daughter-in-law Lorrie Massie.

He is survived by: his children, Lee Sando (Steve) of Helena, MT and Pat Massie (Deb) of Carlisle; his grandchildren, Lara (Nathan) of Los Angeles, CA, Roy (Linnea) of Helena, Brian Massie (Marisa) of Nazareth, PA and Greg Massie (Bernadette) of Nazareth, PA; his great grandchildren, Oliver, Jasper, Afton, Juni, Grayson, Nora, Jacob and Luke; and also, Judy Shephard of Davville, KY and Pam Barnett of Chilhowie.
