He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack David and Jeanette Hockett Aker; his brother Joey Aker; his nephew Brandon Aker; his parents-in-law, Clara Ruth Duncan and Charles Aaron Duncan Jr.; his brother-in-law Jack Lilly; and his nephew Matthew Duncan.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Duncan Aker; his children, Christoper Showalter (Willow), Jamie Showalter (Farrah), Michael Odham (Kim) and Kalyn Aker Kasten (Cody); his grandchildren, Georgia, Brynn, Anna and Blake; his great grandchild Annalise; his uncle Ralph Aker (Jayne); his cousin Sherri Tayon; his siblings-in-law, Judy Lilly, Wayne Duncan (Janet) and Ricky Duncan (Debbie); his close friends, Jim, Jean Overbay, Tommy, Karen Reedy, Tim Dean, John, Brittany Stanislawski, Mark Elenbaas, Trent Burke, Gerald, Kim Thomas, Penny, Cory Sys, Larry Byrket, Joy, Stuart Fregien, Shannon Lauhoff, Dennis Estep and Wanzek; his pets, Sassy, Little Man and Pooh; and also Leo.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bradley's Funeral Chapel (307 Old Stage Rd, Chilhowie, VA 24319). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gollehon Family Cemetery.
