He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaylord Aker and Leta Morgan Aker; his wife Jeanette Virginia Hockett Aker; his son Joey David Aker; his grandson Brandon Aker; his brother Charles Echols; and his close friend Sally Dolinger.
He is survived by: his son Jeff Aker (Susan Duncan Aker); his grandchildren, Chris Showalter (Willow), Jamie Showalter, Michael Odum, Kim and Kalyn Kasten (Cody); his brother Ralph Aker (Jane); and his close friends, Gerald, Kim Thomas, John Hankla, Betty, Ralph Price, Tracy Felt and Tim Prichett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Gollehon Family Cemetery.
