It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Carter Dyson (Chilhowie, Virginia), who passed away on October 17, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Carter and Georgia Carter; her siblings, Learie Carter, Ruth Carter, Lillie Carter and Barbara Ritzo; and her mother-in-law Edith Dyson.
She is survived by: her husband Joe G. Dyson; her son Chris Dyson (April); her granddaughter Ava Dyson of Sugar Grove; and her siblings, Reverend Roger Carter (Reda) of Bristol, Tenn., Roy Carter (Louise) of Bristol, Tenn., Lucille Alexander of Blackwater and Thelma Whitt of St. Charles. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
