It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jane Mathews (Chilhowie, Virginia), who passed away on March 16, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ambrose Greer and Hattie Pennington Greer; her husband William "Bill" Mathews; and her son Allen Mathews. She is survived by: her children, Eddie Mathews (Ann), Terri Callaghan and Craig Mathews (Elizabeth); her brother Bruce "Bud" Greer; and her grandchildren, Wesley Mathews, Christopher Callaghan, Nicole Callaghan, Keith Mathews, Mason Mathews and Ben Mathews. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
