Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Alan Pickrell (Chilhowie, Virginia), born in Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away at the age of 85, on September 12, 2023. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Alan Pickrell and Sadie Draughon Pickrell; his daughter Laura Pickrell Miller; and his brother John Walter Pickrell. He is survived by: his wife Ellie McDowell Pickrell; his daughter Allison Statzer (David); his son-in-law Dean Miller; and his grandchildren, Jacob Statzer, Deanna Pope, Joshua Pope, Brittney Doane and Morgan Pope. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
