He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Benson and Iva Benson. He is survived by: his sister Diane Burris; his niece Tammy Jett; his brothers-in-law, James Gordon and Walter Nott, Jr.; his aunt Ruby Abbott; his wife Elsa; his children, Ray (Jen), Jeff (Katelyn) and Stephanie Benson; his grandchildren, Teagan Benson, Allison Benson and Ruby Belote; and his siblings, Raymond Benson, Jr., Linda Gordon and Rebecca Nott "Becky".
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kilmarnock United Methodist Church (89 E Church St, Kilmarnock, VA 22482). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
