He was predeceased by: his wife Deloris May Stone; and his son Walter E. Stone Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Winaford Stone Rogers (John); and his grandchildren, John R. Rogers Jr. (Ashley), Shelby M. Rogers, Samantha N. Rogers, Jonathan C. Stone (Tanya) and Walter E. Stone III (Emily). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
