He was predeceased by: his parents, James Adams and Gracie Adams; his wife Betty Jean Adams; and his brother Raymond Adams. He is survived by: his children, Bobby Adams (Linda), Karen Cash (Ronnie) and Courtney Battista (Mark); his sister Marjorie Cheatham; his grandchildren, Nicolette, Wayland, Jordan, Corinne, Chris, Kevin, Jason, Brian, Guy, Michael, Leo and Noah; his close friend Jimmy Norby; and his caregivers, Juanita, Rhonda, Annette and Elsie. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; beloved nieces; a host of extended family.
