He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Girten; his son David Girten; and his parents, Margie Girten and Emory Girten. He is survived by: his son Michael Girten (Sheila); his daughters-in-law, Sharon Girten, Pamela Girten and Robin Custalow (Scott); and his grandchildren, Jonathan Girten, Scott Custalow, Jr., Amanda Custalow and Skyler Girten.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bliley's Funeral Home (6900 Hull St Rd, Richmond, VA 23224). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Heritage Baptist Church (7777 Cogbill Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832).
