It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nell Puryear Owen of Chesterfield, Virginia, who passed away on January 4, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Flavious Linwood Puryear; her sister Doris Puryear McMullen; and her siblings-in-law, Foy Owen Gordon-Abady and Andrew Marshall Owen. She is survived by: her great-aunts, Lillie Puryear Wiley, Sue, Edith and Rosa Talley; her great grandchild Aaron Thomas; her daughters, Margaret O. (Jane), Jones (Harold), Kathyrn O. (Kathy) and Holt (Ed) of Chesterfield, VA; her granddaughter Erin Jones Crawford (Tommy); her great grandchildren, Hannah Woodell and Aaron Thomas Crawford of Clermont, FL; her sister-in-law Martha Yancey Owen of Buffalo Junction, VA; and her nieces, Joni Owen Woltz (Eddie) of Virgilina, VA and Jeanne Owen Burton (Dale) of Raleigh, NC.
