He is survived by: his wife Judy Gillespie; his children, Josie Nelms (Travis), Winton Gillespie and Carey Gillespie; his stepchildren, Susan Williams, Angela Davis (Tim) and Terry Barksdale; his granddaughters, Autumn Nelms, Abby Nelms, Carly Gillespie, Amanda Brown, Kristen Jenkins (Kristine), Jessica St Clair (Pete), Samantha Castelow and Ashley Whitten (James); his great grandchildren, Summer Harwood, Myleigh Harwood, Leah St Clair, Amelia Whitten, Emberlynn Davis and Makenzie Barksdale; his grandsons, David Hester, Jr., Nicholas Castelow, Timothy Davis, Jr. (Jennifer) and Josh Barksdale; his great grandchildren, Adam St Clair and Mason Whitten; his niece Cardean Gilley; and his siblings, Dale Gillespie and Gayle Uhl.
