He was predeceased by: his parents, John Roy and Annie Mae Seay Mills; and his siblings, Billy, Pete, Ashby, Tony, Shirley, Bertha and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his son Howard Louis Mills, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Tamela Townsend; and his brother Joe Mills. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
