She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Elizabeth Finney; and her mother-in-law Pauline Thornton. She is survived by: her father Curtis Finney Sr.; her husband Leon W. Thornton Jr.; her father-in-law Leon W. Thornton Sr.; her children, Danielle, LaKeisha, Thomas, Leon III and Courtney; and her siblings, Ronald, Kenneth (Belinda), Charlton, Curtis Jr. Finney (Wilma) and Dawn Jenkins. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
