He is survived by: his wife Mary King Proffitt; his children, Travis Wade Proffitt (Melissa), Larry Bishop Traylor, Jr. (Jennifer), Shannan Marie Bowman, Rachel Proffitt Coleman (Eric) and Kimberly Michelle Brown (Kelsey); his grandchildren, Jordan Alexandra Traylor, Carter Heath Bowman, Alexandra Marie Bowman, Saylor Jane Proffitt, Preston Mason Bowman, Jackson Whitley Casey, Adley Roe Proffitt, Ava LeAnn Kern, Aubree Elizabeth Kern, Jackson William Coleman and Wren Olivia Coleman; and his brothers, Dennis Proffitt, David Proffitt (Tammy) and Donald Proffitt (Tiffany). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service (6500 Iron Bridge Rd, Richmond, VA 23234). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Memorial Gardens (12609 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Anna's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria (11027 Hull Street Rd N, Midlothian, VA 23112).
