He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward and Elizabeth O'Kennon Burton. He is survived by: his brothers, Robert "Bobby" Burton and William "Billy" Burton; his wife Bonnie Whitaker Burton; his daughter Stacy Burton Whaley (Todd); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Rayne Burton Whaley and Hunter Corbin Burton Whaley. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and many cherished friends.
