He was predeceased by: his wife Becky T. Dickson; and his parents, Stewart Proffitt and Edna Proffitt. He is survived by: his children, Dennis S. Proffitt, Jr. (Misty) and Rhonda Proffitt-Eckel (Michael); his stepdaughter Sarah Dickson; his sister Sherran Andrews; his grandchildren, Connor Youngblood, Kiley Proffitt, Ethan, Morgan Stoddard, Kilby and Gage Proffitt; and his pet Justice.
