He was predeceased by: his sisters, Anne Nixon and Nada Kohtz. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Topalu; his children, Tami Topalu of Glen Allen, Ted Topalu (Elizabeth) of Winston-Salem, N. C. and Tom Topalu (Tracy) of Houston, Texas; his grandson Coleman Topalu of Winston-Salem, N. C.; and his sister Mary Deiter of Albany.
