Carl S. Brown Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carl S. Brown of Chesterfield, Virginia, who passed away on February 4, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Brown and Gracie Brown; and his siblings, Linda Brown Urquhart, Davie Brown (Gladys) and Estelle Brown.

He is survived by: his partner Merrill Scherer; his siblings, George T. Brown (Florence), John Lee Brown (Rose), Elmer J. Brown, Albert K. Brown (Angela), Ambrose Brown (Altoria), Milton Brown (Maria), Ann Schisler (Steve), Roy Scherer (Rachel) and Maxine Brown; his godson Carter Smith; his nieces, Tera James (Alonzo) and Felicia Pierce; and his great-niece Shenitra Williams. He is also survived by nephews, amazing nieces, other relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc. (102 South Ave, Petersburg, VA 23803). Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc. (102 South Ave, Petersburg, VA 23803). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church-Claremont (11342 Colonial Trail W, Spring Grove, VA 23881). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at the Abundant Life Christian Church Cemetery (784 Cabin Point Rd, Spring Grove, VA 23881).
