She was predeceased by: her parents, John Monsour and Rachel Atkins Kouri; her husband John Carlton Hicks; her sister Catherine Bernadette Robertson; and her brother-in-law Carter Hicks (Carolyn).
She is survived by: her brother Samuel Kouri (Margaret); her children, Belinda Lou Sweeny, Benny Gray, John Ray Sullivan (Kathy) and Dee Bernadette Sawyer (Earl); her siblings-in-law, Sandra Rhodes (Jerry), Jane Williams, Billy Hicks (Debbie) and Joe Hicks (Paula); and her grandchildren, Benjamin Robertson (Hillary), Brittney Gray, Haley Gray, Summer Sackett (Kevin), Shane Sweeny (Sophia), Kaitlyn Sullivan, Casie Smith (Daniel) and Mason Sawyer (Rachel). She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and treasured friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Betty's name to the ASPCA.
