It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Matthews Ward of Chester, Virginia, who passed away on November 17, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Haywood Ward and Irene Ward; and his sister Alice Rutledge. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Flowers Ward; his children, Shelly Pignona (Scott Adams) and Brian Ward (Ann); his granddaughters, Chelsey Pignona and Skylar Ward; and his siblings, Eunice Carwile (Jimmy), Marian Goin (Wayne), Ruby Harris, Linda Michael, Betty Popecki (Joe), Clyde Ward (Joyce), Haywood Ward (Barbara) and Richard Ward (Betty).
