It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Ambrose Powell of Chester, Virginia, who passed away on October 11, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paris Powell and Mary Powell; and his brother Eugene Powell. He is survived by: his wife Frances Powell; his children, Thomas Powell, Jr. and Melanie Johnson (Brad); his stepchildren, Terry Bonds (Ronnie) and Beverly Wagner; his siblings, Glenn, Johnny, Jerry, Joe, Robert, Sue and Mary; his grandchildren, Patrick, Leslie, Monica, Brandon, Nathan, Ryan and RJ; and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Sydney, Weston, Hannah and Easton.
In order to protect the vulnerable and high-risk members of the community, it is highly recommended that face masks be worn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
