She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Benefiel and Vivian Benefiel; and her grandparents, Joe, Jettie Berry, Marion and Louie Benefiel.

She is survived by: her husband Brian Putze; her children, Kandy Ringquist (Paul Petach) of Oxford, MS, John Bowen (Regina) of Chesterfield, VA and Christie Kirkpatrick (John) of Aberdeen, MS; her stepson Preston Winfrey of Richmond, VA; her grandchildren, Blake Bowen (Aliyah) of Chesterfield, VA, Bryson Bowen of Chesterfield, VA, Kayla Bowen of Chesterfield, VA, Jake Kirkpatrick, Madison Kirkpatrick of Aberdeen, MS and Jon Ringquist of Los Angeles, CA; her great grandchild Layla Mae Gele of Richmond, VA; her sister Patricia Holloway (Danny); her nephews, Matt Holloway (Heather) and Chad Holloway (Katy); and her great-nephew Carter Holloway of Hamilton, MS..
