He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn L. Collins; and his son Roy L. Collins, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Arnita Patterson (Reggie) and Tim Collins (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Kicky (Alexis), Jennifer, Dew (Timothy), Erica, Tre and Austin; and his sisters, Irene Sumner, Peggy Hamilton and Cathy Layne. He is also survived by nine great-grand-children.
