He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ennis Lumpkin and Dorothy Lumpkin; his wife Joyce Lumpkin; his children, Paul "Lennie" Lumpkin Jr. (Sonya Canton) and Lisa Underwood (Richard Underwood) of Prince George, VA; his grandchildren, Daniel Lumpkin, Trey Lumpkin (Gloria), Ashley Lumpkin, Melany Tate (Kenny), Alia Chiles (Marvin Chiles), Jessica Jubran (Josh Wagner), Chase Underwood, William Underwood and Bryanna Underwood; his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Zyon, Zyaire, Marley, Kiaya, Dylan, Brooke, Austin, August, Bella, Xander, Melody, Presleigh and Shay; his sister-in-law Brenda Jenkins; his niece Tracie Jenkins; and his nephew Thomas W.
