It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Morris Wayne Vaughan Sr. of Chester, Virginia, who passed away on January 11, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Edison and Alease Totty Vaughan; his wife Patricia Bottoms Vaughan; and his siblings, Roy, Gene Vaughan and Carolyn Hickman.
He is survived by: his son Morris "Wayne" Jr.; his daughter-in-law Tammy Pannill Vaughan of Chester, VA; his grandsons, Jesse (Mindy) and Chad Vaughan (Laura); his great grandchildren, Caleb Lee, Grayson Alexander, Wyatt Jackson and Autumn Ann Vaughan; his close friend Sachiko Hartsel; his siblings, Mildred Morton and Jerry Vaughan; and his friends, Susan, Gregory, Clare, Sarah, Thomas Shriner of Williamsburg, VA and Crystal Poole of Amelia, VA.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory - Colonial Heights (2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Park (2901 W Hundred Rd, Chester, VA 23831).
