He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph L. Phelps; his wife Nancy Phelps; his daughter Cindy Mitchell; and his stepson Wayne McDaniel. He is survived by: his parent Beatrice Norris Pruett; his daughters, Bobbie Rodrigues (Joe) and Debra K. Hudson (Joe); his stepsons, Joe McDaniel, Farron McDaniel (Kaye), Tommy McDaniel (Samantha) and Michael McDaniel; and his niece Sammy Smith (Elvis). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
