With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Frederick Rousch of Chester, Virginia, who passed away on January 3, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Theodore Rousch and Pauline Ingle Rousch; his grandparents, Annie Arndt Rousch, Henry Rousch, Jennie Evans Ingle and William Henry Ingle of Cumberland, VA.; his stepmother Polly Simpson Rousch; his brother William "Bill" Rousch; and his sister-in-law Barbara Rousch.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Louise Owen; his sons, Joseph Frederick Rousch Jr., Michael Brandon Rousch, Joey and Mikey; his grandchild Hunter (Lindsay); his great grandchild Kohen; his grandchildren, Tyler and Aubrey; his siblings, Betty Jo Leadbetter (Lee), Katherine and Harry Rousch (Pat); his sisters-in-law, Agnes, Jo Ann (Jerry), Jolly and Mary (Kenneth); his friends, Melvin Jamerson (Vertia Mae), Butch-Percy Wright (Gloria), Tony (Joyce) and Keith Mitchell (Chelsie); and also Sarah. He is also survived by Many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Puckett Funeral Home (115 Covington Ct, Farmville, VA 23901). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Jones Chapel (947 Trents Mill Rd, Cumberland, VA 23040).
