He was predeceased by: his parent John Vernard; and his siblings, John T. Bowman, Ruth Clary and Helen Andrews. He is survived by: his parent Hazel Reames Bowman; his wife Carol Cook Bowman; his children, Sharon Entwistle (Steve) and John Thomas Bowman (Teresa); and his grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Mark Entwistle, Johnathan Perkinson (Jennifer) and Katie Bowman Palmer (Alvin).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S. Crater Rd., Petersburg, VA 23805 in memory of Aubrey Bowman.
