With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellen Ruth Clay Maxey of Chester, Virginia, born in Alberta, Virginia, who passed away on April 13, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Wilson and Lucy Clary Clay; and her brother Jimmy Clay. She is survived by: her husband Michale Maxey; her children, Kellie Bowen (Josh), Matthew Maxey and Erin McClaugherty; her grandson Dylan Thorpe; her stepson Michale P. Maxey; and her brothers, Ernest Clay, Jr., Clarence Clay and Lawrence Clay. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
