She was predeceased by: her husband John J. T. Griffin; her parents, Ruth Ayscue Hawkins and Joseph Rufus Addison; and her brother Frank "Bubba" Addison. She is survived by: her daughters, Melinda Stringfield (Bill), Bonnie Stewart and Deana Williams; her grandchildren, Jodi Degan, Christopher Stewart (Pearl), Jona Williams McKenzie (Chris), Chana Stewart and Brandon Williams; and her sister Carol Addison Mayes. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
