She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Verty Sr. and Ruth Wilson Covington; her husband Jeffrey R. Fender; her brother Albert Verty Covington Jr.; her parents-in-law, Ray H. Fender and Helen Dott Fender; and her stepmother-in-law Barbara Fender.
