He was predeceased by: his mother Josepha Baker; his grandfather Joseph Hendrick Sr.; his uncle Carl W. Hendrick; and his great-grandparents, Garland, Zelma Crute, George and Rosa Hendrick.
He is survived by: his son Javontay Christian of Hampton, VA; his grandmother Frances C. Hendrick of Chester, VA; his aunts, Joyce Hendrick, Tammy Hepburn of Chester, VA and Carolyn Hendrick of Alexandria, VA.; his uncle Joseph Hendrick, Jr. of Petersburg, VA; his great-aunts, Clara Mae Farrar, Theresa Hendrick, Mary Thomas and Florence Rogers; his great-uncle Anthony Crute (Veronica); and his cousin Chauncee Hepburn (Malike Evans). He is also survived by cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Bland Funeral Home (137 Harrison St, Petersburg, VA 23803). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Petersburg Chapel of Bland Funeral Home (137 Harrison St, Petersburg, VA 23803).
