He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Bess, Ralph Bess, Dickie Bess, Danny Bess and Mildred Bess; and his nephew Robert Lee Bess.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Graham Funeral Home (1112 Kempsville Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23320). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Riverside Memorial Park (1000 E Indian River Rd, Norfolk, VA 23523).
