He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Anderson and Astrid Anderson; his wife Jean; his sister Martha Gordon; and his daughter Karen Stratton.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Anderson (Clara) of St. Louis and Linda Anderson of San Francisco; his grandchildren, Melissa Callahan (Ryan), Stacey Willenborg (Mike), Mallory Hylton (Ryan), Rachel Shaffer (Kevin), Taylor Stratton, Joseph Stratton Jr., Bailey Prather (Rick) and Natalie Stratton; and his great grandchildren, Myles, Sydney, Kenna, Kara, Samantha, Kai, Dean, Riley, Ellie and Sawyer.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Graham Funeral Home (1112 Kempsville Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23320). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Grace Lutheran Church (521 Providence Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23325).
