She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Spencer and Pauline Spencer; and her siblings, Wanda, Shirley and Wayne.

She is survived by: her husband Larry J. Armstrong; her children, Sherry Long, Jason Armstrong (Christine) and Todd Armstrong; her brothers, Eddie and Louis Spencer; and her grandchildren, Lee, Samantha, Sterling, Morgan, JT and Cassandra.
