He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryan D. Nixon and Mildred Self Nixon; his wife Dana Joy Nixon; his son Theodore G. "Little Ted" Nance; and his brothers, Paul Nixon, Steve Nixon and Gary "Boogie" Nixon.
He is survived by: his children, Michael W. Nixon, Jr., Bryan Nance (Charity) and Kristina Shurfield (Steve); his grandchildren, Danielle (Arik), Amanda, Caleb (Taylor), Colin, Steven, Spencer, Jordan and Gracie; his great grandchildren, Averi and Kole; and his siblings, Linda Bell, Karen Turner, Deborah Leaupepe (Chris) and Timothy Nixon. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Chapel of Oman Funeral Home and Crematory (653 Cedar Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23322).
