She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Leola and Munroe Metcalf; her husband Malrie Hudson; her sister-in-law Vera Mobley; her siblings, Charles Metcalf, Sr. and Coza Mae Metcalf Wilson; and her nieces, Jane Mobley Lowe and Helen Metcalf Crimm.
She is survived by: her children, Rev. John Hudson (Myrtle), Thomas Hudson (Song Yun) and Deborah (William "Butch" Baxter); her grandchildren, Thomas Hudson, Jr. (Zulma), Michael Baxter (Tammy), Tim Baxter and Amy Hudson Haney; her great grandchildren, Parker Baxter Rogers of Moyock, NC, Colin Haney, Alexandra Hudson and Catherine Hudson of Zuni; her niece Joanie Duke of Cincinnati; her great-niece Mara Lea Mittelstaedt (Jeremy) of Norfolk; and also Savannah Hamlin (Alexander) of Norfolk, Virginia..
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oman Funeral Home & Crematory (653 Cedar Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23322). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Oman Funeral Home (653 Cedar Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23322).
