He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Powers and Lucille Powers; his son Martin Kurtis Powers; and his brothers, Edward B. Powers and Herbert L. Powers.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Marvin K. Powers, Pamela Powers Gomez, Amy L. Powers (Melina) and Angela Powers Smith (Daniel); his grandchildren, Martin Ray Powers, Melissa Rae Powers, Jacob Douglas Smith and Emma James Smith; and his great grandchild Jaielle Powers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Graham Funeral Home (1112 Kempsville Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23320). A reception was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
