She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Clay and Lottie Gray Rooker; her husband John Ferebee Whitehurst; and her sister Kathleen. She is survived by: her children, Cathleen "Cathy" W. Albertson (Keith E. Albertson) and John "Jan" F. Whitehurst, Jr.; her grandchildren, Kevin L. Albertson (Bailey) and Kelli E. Heine (Christopher); her great grandchildren, Addison, Aiden, Ashton Heine and Gabrielle Albertson; her sister-in-law Jean Whitehurst; and her nieces, Beverly Whitehurst and Kim Pearman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Graham Funeral Home (1112 Kempsville Rd, Chesapeake, VA 23320). A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens (6309 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502).
