He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace P., Sr. and Nina Ashley. He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his children, Sharon K. Ashley and Lawrence R. Ashley, Jr. (Jennifer); his grandson William Ashley; and his sister Clairse Ashley Marks. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
